IN Wishaw

Wishaw's history dates back to the 1100s, when St Nethan founded a kirk by the Clyde in the area now know as Netherton. Historically known as Cambusnethan and later Wishawtown, it was joined to the villages of Coltness and Stewarton to create the modern burgh of Wishaw.

Today it has a population of over 28,000, and a town centre with a lovely selection of restaurants and cafés, including coffee specialists Aroma Café; Main Street's Artisan Restaurant with its amazing selection of over 1300 whiskies, and the Italian restaurant Bada Bing.

Those looking to pamper themselves can choose from a range of hairdressers and beauticians, and there's a number of specialist wedding shops - including florists, photographers and wedding dress suppliers - to help you plan your extra-special day.
